Today was very windy and cold...relative to Florida. It was in the 50's in the morning and 60s during the day. About 12:30 it poured down rain which wasn't cool because that is my lunch break chance to make a run to the beach. By the time we got out of sessions the rain had stopped and the sun returned...along with horrendous wind from the northwest. It was low tide so I went to see what I could find on the beach. I found an excellent little shell ledge where there were quite a few things washing up. I'm pretty particular about what I pick up as I used to live in Florida and worked on the beach so I have plenty of shells for shell sake...now I just pick up the stuff I really like. I stood there in the water waiting for things to wash in for a good hour. Then I realized I couldn't feel my legs they were so cold so I headed back to the hotel. I decided I would order chinese and stay in this evening to work on what I'm learning at the conference as there is never time once I return to the office. I had just finished eating when a colleague (Brad) rang up and told me that I HAD to get to the little bar across the street and have a drink with him and his friend from the other side of the state. That turned into 3 hours of chatting and laughing and no work got done! Maybe tomorrow....
